This website contains information about the history of and trading / investing in, the off-exchange SPOT currencies market, popularly called "FOREX". This website is not intended to act as an Investment Advisor to FOREX Traders of any skill or experience level.

Take responsibility for your trading decisions. The odds are stacked against you from the start. To survive you will have to trade better than the other 90% of traders who are losing their capital consistently.

This website is intended to share experiences and observations about the market that may hopefully inspire you to form your own trading views, systems, techniques and tactics. What works for some may not work for all,  therefor it is your  responsibility to determine what course of action to take and make your own trading decisions.

The information within this website is only intended to be used as starting points in your research and verification process. Do Not blindly follow anything that is written in this website or any other website. Research the information, backtest the strategies, determine for YOURSELF if the information is worthy of considering in making YOUR trading decisions.

Trading foreign exchange on margin carries a high level of risk, and may not be suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with foreign exchange trading, and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.

MakoForex.com will not be held liable for YOUR FOREX trading results, good or bad.

Inside the website you will find links to the CFTC, NFA and other regulatory bodies. Please look at the information provided within those links carefully. You will need to understand a myriad of laws and regulations concerning which brokers you may choose as your clearing party. There are also many FOREX Fraud happenings with the increased popularity of this market. Read the CFTC case files concerning FOREX activities.

If you are a US person, then you by law may only trade off-exchange SPOT currencies with an NFA registered FCM (Broker). If you violate the law your recourse for any broker wrong doings you might experience is pretty much zilch. You should always clear your trades with a party that is regulated by a legitimate government agency such as the NFA/CFTC and FSA.

Many unregulated Offshore Brokers will let US persons open accounts. Their reasoning is that they are governed by the laws of the Offshore Jurisdiction they are registered in. What that means to you is simple, if they screw you out of your $$$, you have nobody to call for help.

So please think seriously about your choice of clearing partner (Broker) before trading your Risk Capital.
